 'Project Akashteer'

'Project Akashteer' is an initiative of government of India to procure 'Automated Air Defence Control and Reporting System' for Indian Navy under the contract signed with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Ghaziabad in March 2023. This Rs. 1982 Cr. initiative is expected to boost the 'Aatmanirbhar' Bharat Abhiyan. 
    It will enhance manufacturing of indigenous state-of-the-art capability of the Indian Army, which can effectively operate in an integrated manner. Akashteer will enable monitoring of low level airspace over the battle of Indian Army and effectively control the Ground Based Air Defence Weapon System.

What is 'Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana' ?

Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana is a scheme of Madhya Pradesh government under which Rs. 1000 is given to women of the state every month. Recently, the state government decided to increase this monthly installment to Rs. 3000.  

Who are eligible for this scheme ?

  • Women who are in age ranging from 33 to 60 years.
  • Women including married, widow, and divorced.
  • Females belonging to all castes
  • Family income of beneficiaries should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakh
  • Beneficiary should not have owned more than 5 acres of land.

 

'Shakti Scheme'

'Shakti' is the scheme of Karnataka government launched on June 11, 2023. Under this scheme women can travel free of cost in the buses run in the state. It is expected to benefit 42 lakh women every day. 

How can women travel ?

Women have to produce Aadhar, ration card, driving licence or any one of the official documents to bus conductors. After three month, women passengers would be provided smart cards. Tickets will be pasted on all buses that offer free tickets to women.

About The Licchavi Kingdom The Lichchavis were the most powerful of the eight clans of Vajji janapad . Their capital was at Vaishali (Bihar).  They were an Indo-Aryan tribe who conquered the territory of the Maha-Videha kingdom and temporarily occupied the Videha capital of Mithila .  The Gupta Empire (319 AD - 540 AD) Gupta empire emerged on the ruins of the Kushan kingdom.  The empire orginated in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and expanded in almost whole India excluding interior south and Kashmir.  Prayag was the nerve centre of their administration.  They were originally Vaishyas .
