 Cyclone 'Biparjoy'

  • According to Indian Meteorological Department of India, Cyclone, named 'Biparjoy' which has intensified as very severe cyclone in the Arabian sea around 850 km to the west of Goa, is likely to hit Kutch Coast where it will landfall.
  • The cyclone is expected to affect Oman most. .

 What is all about 'Children of the Bush' ?

    'Children of the Bush' is trending these days globally. It is in fact, the name of four indigenous children of Columbia who survived a plane crash in the Amazon forest recently. The Cessna 206 aircraft that was flying from Araracuara, in Amazon province, to San Jose del Guaviare crashed in the Amazon forest due to engine failure. Columbian government has conducted 'Operation Hope' to rescue the plane crash victims.

3D digitization of Museums to be completed by Dec 2023  

  • The Union government's plan of 3D digitization of museums will be completed by the end of this year (2023).
  • The museums undertaken are -
    1. Salar Jung Museum, Hyderbad, 
    2. The Allahabad Museum in Pryagraj,
    3. The Indian Museum, Kolkata, 
    4. The Victoria Memorial Hall, 
    5. The National Museum and the National Gallery of Modern Art.

A total of 10 museum including above 5 are to taken under the plan.

  • 3D digitization would be done by the JATAN virtual museum builder software which has been designed by Human Centers Design and Computing Group, Center for Development of Smart Computing, Pune.
  • 3D digitization of museums will give the visitors the experience of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.

About The Licchavi Kingdom The Lichchavis were the most powerful of the eight clans of Vajji janapad . Their capital was at Vaishali (Bihar).  They were an Indo-Aryan tribe who conquered the territory of the Maha-Videha kingdom and temporarily occupied the Videha capital of Mithila . Given to rising power of Magadha empire , Lichchavis established their republic in the southern part of Maha-Videha kingdom until the marginal location of Vaishali , which was their largest city and capital. To the south of Vaishali was situated the kingdom of Magadha with which relations of Vaishali were initially good.  The Gupta Empire (319 AD - 540 AD) Gupta empire emerged on the ruins of the Kushan kingdom.  The empire orginated in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh and expanded in almost whole India excluding interior south and Kashmir.  Prayag was the nerve centre of their administration.  They were originally Vaishyas .
