Cyclone 'Biparjoy', which originated around 850 km away from Gujarat in the Arabian sea, made landfall near Jakhau port in the Kutch district of Gujarat.


Cyclone 'Biparjoy' is a tropical cyclone originated in the east-central Arabian sea, and made landfall near Jakhau port in the Kutch district of Gujarat. The name 'Biparjoy' means 'disaster' in Bengali. It affected Indian state of Gujarat and Rajasthan, and some part of souther part of Pakistan. It brought heavy rainfall in the coastal areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan. The cyclone 'Biparjoy' was named by Bangladesh.
