'Shakti Scheme' 'Shakti' is the scheme of Karnataka government launched on June 11, 2023. Under this scheme women can travel free of cost in the buses run in the state . It is expected to benefit 42 lakh women every day. How can women travel ? Women have to produce Aadhar, ration card, driving licence or any one of the official documents to bus conductors. After three month, women passengers would be provided smart cards. Tickets will be pasted on all buses that offer free tickets to women.
